History of Goorambat

Goorambat has a strong history of farming, with many of the first settlers’ families still living in the area, often on their original lots. Farming work was always done using Clydesdale horses, and there are still Clydesdale studs in the area. Below is a slideshow of some old photos taken in the Goorambat district, showing a variety of farming practices which are often now completed by mechanical vehicles.
